What are Online Surveys?

As you know government runs a program in a interval of 2 or 5 years where some government officials came to us and collect our details about our family members, our habits, products that we use or anything like this. Basically they are having a format of questions and they ask us to answer them all one by one. For few answers they put only a tick mark and for some special answers they write 1 or 2 short lines what we tell them. This is a form of traditional survey (it's still in fashion in few countries)

Survey is basically a list of questions prepared by any company/ organization to get feedback of huge population. Results or data of this type of surveys is used for many different purposes. Sometimes it is used to note the rate of development in any specific area, sometimes it is used to launch a new product according to human needs or anything like that. It could be anything and it could be about anything.

In short we can say Survey is the process of collecting some specific information based on systematically developed questions, purpose of which is to get the correct information/feedback by a large number of people to serve them better.

Online Survey is the same thing. The difference here is it is totally online and no one asks you face to face. Online surveys are nothing but the simple forms asking you some special questions about any specific thing for some specific purpose.

In today’s world everything is going online. People shop online, play online, discuss online and earn online. So it is one of the easiest and best ways to get the opinion of large number of people in one shot. The process is very easy and anyone who is using email or surfing websites can fill those surveys easily and tell their views to others about anything.

These days Online Surveys are much popular because of only one reason and that is some of the surveys PAYS you!  Yes, it’s true. Some of the companies conduct paid surveys to improve their existing products or new upcoming products or services and they want the sure success in their venture so they conduct such surveys through which they collect the real information and views of the customers. They can know what customers need and what they think about their special product/service.  This is professional world now and no one care to devote his 10-15 minutes for just giving his/her opinion for nothing. So if someone gets money to answer few simple questions then no one refuse to do this. Hence everyone is interested in taking paid surveys and big companies really care for such people who are willing to give their true opinions. And therefore these companies do not hesitate to pay a small amount for each survey.  This is really good for both the parties. Customers /users get some extra cash for sharing their views/ experiences and companies can plan their future strategies based on solid foundation of collected information from real people.
